About Ember

Ember is a beautiful German Shepherd, around 3 years old, with a sweet demeanor and a strong desire to please. This playful girl adores big plushies and squeaky toys, but nothing compares to her love for cuddles and affection. To thrive, Ember would really benefit from a home that has experience with German Shepherds. She can be quite expressive with her mouth, a trait common in her breed, so patience and understanding are key. While she has shown a gentle side around children, it’s best for her to be in a home with older kids who can help her learn proper boundaries. Her past is a bit of a mystery, but it seems she may not have had much exposure to other dogs earlier in life. She’s still learning how to interact, especially with her current foster brother, a docile male GSD. Ember enjoys playtime, but she’s also working on not guarding her food and toys. With the right training and patience, she’s making excellent progress. Ember is fully potty trained and behaves well indoors but doesn’t do well in a crate; she prefers to be left in a safe space. An escape artist at times, she should not be left unattended in the yard. She is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and prepared for a new family. If you’re looking for a companion who is affectionate and eager to learn, Ember might just be the one for you. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
