Meet Fern. This sweet 3-year-old, 15-pound girl has recently completed a very important chapter in her life as a devoted mother, lovingly raising six puppies she had while being a stray. Now it's her turn to find a home where she can finally receive the love and attention she deserves. Fern has a calm, lower-energy personality and thrives when she’s close to her people. She prefers cozying up on the couch beside you, soaking up affection over high-energy activities. If you seek a loyal companion who simply wants to be by your side, Fern fits the bill. She warms up quickly to people and has a gentle, affectionate nature. Fern gets along well with other dogs, although she doesn’t actively seek playtime with them. She’d be content in a home with another calm dog or as the only pet receiving all the attention. Fern is primarily housebroken, but like many mothers, she's had a couple of accidents while caring for her puppies. As she settles into a new routine, she continues to improve her house training. After dedicating so much of her life to caring for others, Fern is ready for a family to take care of her. She's an easygoing, loving dog, eager to spend her life as your best friend.
