Black Velvet is a rescue from Puerto Rico currently fostered in Lyndeborough, NH, and she's eager to find her forever home. At just 18 months old and weighing around 39 pounds, her life could have taken a tragic turn. Originally slated for a trap-neuter-return program after being found abandoned on a beach in Punta Santiago, we couldn't let her go back to the streets. When rescued, she weighed only 20 pounds but has since blossomed into a healthy, joyful companion. She adores people and is fantastic with children. Black Velvet gets along wonderfully with other dogs, radiating a gentle and affectionate spirit. Whether you're off on an adventure or just relaxing at home, she becomes everyone’s best friend. Fully vetted, spayed, and vaccinated, she is ready to leave behind her tough past and step into a loving family.
