Chimi is a male, small, mixed-breed dog with a lively spirit. Although he is a senior, he has a youthful energy about him. About Chimi

Meet Chimi, your new buddy! This charming senior dog is around 8-10 years old, having made his way to Utah from a shelter in Nevada. Chimi's age doesn't slow him down; he’s full of personality and energy. He enjoys walks, toys, and cuddles, and has a delightful habit of playing with socks—he loves to carry them around and toss them in the air. His obsession with balls is evident, although he prefers to keep them instead of fetching. Food is Chimi's motivation, and he dines from a slow feeder. While he can be quite the senior beggar, he does listen to corrections. Chimi currently lives harmoniously with both small and large dogs and respects their space. While we haven't tested him with cats, he would thrive in a home with respectful kids aged 10 and up who understand how to interact with older dogs. Chimi is potty trained and uses a dog door. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He recently had dental work done, which included the extraction of seven teeth. Despite being on the skinny side, he is maintaining a healthy weight for his stature. It’s important to note that Chimi has a Grade 5 heart murmur and Stage B2 Mitral Valve Disease (MVD). He currently does not suffer from heart failure, but his medical condition needs ongoing attention, including veterinary check-ups and medication costing roughly $50/month.
