Meet Joctober, a sweet and a little shy fellow weighing around 33 lbs at approximately 4 years old. He was adopted as a puppy but returned to Mostly Mutts due to his family’s busy lifestyle, which left them unable to provide him the attention he deserves. He’s looking for that second chance to find his forever home and hopes a loving family is just around the corner. Joctober's personality shines through once he feels safe. Initially stressed when returned, he’s begun to warm up and show how friendly he can be. While he’s currently timid, especially around strangers and quick movements, he’s ready to build a trusting bond with his new family. He enjoys playing with toys, particularly tennis balls, though bringing them back is still a learning curve. Although he hasn’t been around cats much and has yet to meet children at Mostly Mutts, he did have positive experiences with them in the past. His former family noted he was good with older, calm kids. Joctober is in the Mostly Mutts University training program and has a good grasp of commands like ‘sit’ and ‘stay’. He thrives on gentle interactions and continued training, which is supported by the free lifetime classes offered post-adoption. Joctober is neutered, current on vaccinations, and ready to find a family that enjoys sharing their life with a four-legged companion.
