About Nova
Meet Nova! This spirited nine-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever from Charlotte, NC, is a bundle of affection wrapped in a glossy black coat, weighing a sturdy 75 pounds. Nova's enthusiasm lights up every room, greeting familiar faces and new ones alike with kisses and tail wags that are pure joy. Nova thrives on joyful connections. Whether she's bounding after her favorite squeaky llama toy, showcasing her sit-and-shake skills, or curling up for a cozy nap, she fills every moment with warmth and laughter. To feel at peace, she appreciates a structured routine with two good walks a day and consistent meal times. This lovable lady can be a bit mischievous, especially when snacks are left unattended, so a sturdy crate (with a peanut butter Kong for company) is advised for when she's alone. It's worth noting that Nova prefers to be the only furry companion in her home. She's had challenges getting along with other dogs in the past and has a history of biting incidents. Nova is friendly towards people, thriving when she is the center of attention in a pet-free environment. She's looking for a family who understands her need for affection, patience, and structure, ideally older children and active caregivers who can keep her engaged and loved. Though she has a sensitive stomach and sometimes struggles with stress when left alone, Nova blossoms into a loyal companion with the right care. Fully house-trained, crate-trained, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, she’s all set to bring joy to a new family. Nova is ready to be your loyal shadow, brightening your days with her loving gaze. Are you prepared to give this cheerful, kiss-happy pup the spotlight she deserves? If you're interested in providing Nova with a loving home, please email adopt@joyfulpets.com for more information on adopting her! Nova is also open to long-distance adoption, proving love knows no bounds!
