About KoopaLOCAL

Meet Koopa, your potential new adventure buddy and certified goofball! This charming 2-year-old male Labrador Retriever mix arrived at PAWS due to his previous family’s hectic lifestyle, which overwhelmed his sensitive nature. Koopa thrives with companionship and is looking for a caring human who understands his need for support as he explores the world. He has some separation anxiety, so a home where someone is around most of the time would be ideal. On brighter days, Koopa loves to ride in the car and behaves wonderfully in public. He’s enjoyed outings like brewery visits, soaking in exciting experiences with ease. Koopa is sociable with other dogs and enjoys playtime, making him a great companion for a doggy sibling to help build his confidence. At home, he’s treat-motivated and eager to learn, picking up on commands and practicing his skills. He’s also house trained, but he sometimes prefers to lounge in the backyard over hanging inside. Sleepy moments may startle him if woken abruptly, so giving him time to gather himself is important. Koopa requires a patient adopter ready to celebrate his small victories as he learns to embrace the world around him. If your vision of dog ownership includes car rides, adventures, and plenty of silly moments, Koopa could be the perfect fit. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
