Rescued from a high-kill shelter in Arkansas, Layla now enjoys life in Minnesota, where she's truly thrived since March. At just over a year old, she weighs around 38 pounds. With notable black spots on her sides and belly, this pretty girl sports a unique mohawk that runs along her spine, complemented by four charming white socks and a wagging white-tipped tail that lifts her mood even higher. Layla gets along great with all humans and loves children of all ages. At the park, she shines during fetch, whether it's with a Chuck-It ball or splashing around in water. Crate trained and quiet at night, she adores cuddles and being close to her people, making her a truly affectionate companion. Layla is smart and food motivated. She knows basic commands like sit and stay, and while she may showcase a little stubbornness at times, she's eager to learn more. Her playful nature makes her a fantastic fit for a family that enjoys outdoor adventures, especially near the water. Considered house trained, she does have the occasional accident, but it seems to be tied to an old habit of a previous resident. Layla thrives on attention and fun activities, and while she loves being around other dogs, she can be reactive on leash to barking dogs.
