About Chocolata
Chocolata is a young terrier who found her way from Mexico to Minnesota after a rough start, but you’d never know it now. She’s about a year old and in the 35–40 lb range, recovering beautifully from the rickets she suffered as a puppy. These days, she’s all wagging tails and gentle greetings, once she’s had a chance to warm up to you. Chocolata is shy at first, but watching her confidence build around other dogs is something special—she really blooms with a canine companion by her side. She gets along well with other dogs and lights up during playtime. There’s still a playful, jumpy streak in her, a sign that she’s still got some of that puppy energy to burn off. She does well in her kennel and keeps things tidy, is making solid progress with house training, and is getting used to leash walks for new adventures. Chocolata is happiest in a patient home, ideally with another dog, where she can keep building trust at her own pace. With a bit of patience and affection, Chocolata is sure to be a loyal, loving addition to the right family. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
