About Luna

Luna is a delightful mixed breed who came to Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue on July 25, 2026, after being transferred from an overcrowded shelter. This charming 3-year-old spayed female weighs just 20 lbs and boasts a beautiful tricolor coat of brown, black, and white with a short coat. While her exact breed mix remains a mystery, it's possible she's got some spitz in her lineage along with hints of Husky, Schipperke, or Pomeranian. This gentle soul is friendly with most dogs and cats, making her a great companion for a multi-pet home. However, Luna can be a bit shy around new people, so she would thrive in a calm environment where she can take her time adjusting. Approved applicants can enjoy our unique Slumber Party program, allowing them to take Luna home for up to two weeks to see if sheโ€™s the perfect fit. If you think Luna could be your new family member, be sure to reach out and apply today.
