Meet Bianca! Bianca is on the lookout for a foster or forever home. At around 6 years old and currently weighing about 40 lbs, she’s in need of a little weight gain to get her back to a healthy state. Discovered wandering down a busy road in mid-July, Bianca was found with a collar attached to a tie-out, suggesting she had escaped from being tied out in someone’s backyard. We managed to locate her microchip, but unfortunately, her previous family did not come forward to reclaim her. It turned out that her heat was masking a serious issue—she had a life-threatening infection known as pyometra. Thankfully, we acted quickly to spay her and start her on antibiotics, preventing further health complications. Bianca is one of the most gentle and sweet-natured dogs you’ll meet. She’s calm and patient, enjoys playing with toys, and will gently nudge your elbow for attention while you work. Currently staying at a boarding facility since we lack available foster homes, she has not been fully tested with other dogs or cats, but she interacted well with some puppies and was friendly with the facility staff. She is good with children but will need supervision and further testing in a home before being fully assessed around other pets.
