About Gretchen

Meet Gretchen! Gretchen was found wandering alone in an apartment building, painfully skinny and in immediate need of care. She has one of the thinnest frames the team has cared for this year, but despite a rough start, Gretchen has remained spirited and affectionate. Her short gray coat feels like velvet, and she has no fur on her belly. At about six months old and 28 lbs, she’s still working on reaching a healthy weight, but her appetite is strong and she’s highly motivated by food. Basic manners and house training are new for her, but she’s picking them up quickly. Gretchen loves being around people and craves attention. She gets along with other dogs and has met a confident cat at the office without issue. However, she is still full of puppy energy, so a cat-free home is better until she learns more self-control. She is vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, and recovering from a case of happy tail that’s nearly healed. One quirk: Gretchen has a quirky eye with a wide range of motion, but no medical cause—she just has a unique view of the world. Adopters in Columbus must be 24 or older and have spayed/neutered pets. Give Gretchen the stable home she’s been missing. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
