Meet Charles! This charming little gentleman may tell you he's about five years old, but he's actually 15. Charles is a Cocker Spaniel and Maltese mix weighing around 20 pounds, and he moves better than many dogs half his age. It’s like he’s found some secret to staying young! Charles radiates easygoing vibes. He’s incredibly sweet and affectionate, thriving when he’s around his people. Whether you’re lounging on the couch or exploring the backyard, he’s always ready to tag along. He loves sniffing out interesting smells and embracing whatever adventure comes his way. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, perhaps a bit too well. Charles sometimes forgets he’s a senior and can be a bit too playful with his attempts at humping his canine friends. Clearly, he thinks he is still feeling youthful and energetic! The best part? Charles is already well-acquainted with house manners—he's potty trained and crate trained, and he recently had a dental check-up along with the removal of a few benign lumps. Our vet has noted that Charles has a mild collapsing trachea, common for his age and breed. Thankfully, it doesn’t slow him down. If he knows he’s a senior, no one has informed him! Charles is searching for a retirement home where he can bask in love, cozy beds, and leisurely strolls. He’s truly an incredible dog, and he’s ready to share his golden years with someone who appreciates him for the treasure he is.
