About Persephone
Meet Persephone! She’s a playful little pup born on May 16, who has grown up in a loving environment with her mom, siblings, and a caring foster family. Her mom is a 60-pound hound mix from Kentucky, and while they aren’t sure who her dad is, there’s a possibility he could be a large Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. Despite being the smallest of her litter, Persephone's expected to reach around 60 pounds as an adult. Persephone has a lively spirit, loves snuggling, and enjoys naptime after some play. She has plenty of experience with kids and other dogs, so she’s quite social. Since she’s still young, she is likely to get along with cats too. Her foster family is introducing her to various sights and sounds, helping her build confidence as she continues to grow. While she isn’t potty trained yet, she’s familiar with crate living and excited about the prospect of puppy classes with her forever family. If you’re looking for an active yet cuddly best friend, Persephone can’t wait to meet you! Every PAWS dog is loved, vetted, and ready for a fresh start.
