About Sassy
Click apply to start the adoption process. Sassy is currently at the county pound, but help is needed to bring her into a safe and loving environment. After being rescued with eight other dogs from an abusive situation, Sassy is still learning to navigate the world around her. She lived indoors her entire life until arriving at the shelter, so everything from walks to outdoor sights and sounds is brand new. A dedicated volunteer has been spending time with Sassy, and she reports that Sassy handles leash walks beautifully and delights in belly rubs. However, she can get startled by cars and loud noises, so a secure, sturdy leash is a must for her walks. Sassy weighs about 40 pounds, is already spayed, and previously lived with many cats—a testament to her adaptability. Sassy is searching for a foster home where she can learn to trust and build her confidence with the gentle encouragement of a caring person. Give her the chance to experience kindness and security—she’s ready for her new chapter. Your new best friend is just one click away.
