About Poppy
Poppy is a one-year-old female hound mix with a sweet and goofy nature who’s eager to settle into her forever home. She’s about 45 pounds, currently thriving in her foster situation, and making solid progress on her basic commands and leash skills. Food motivates her, and she’s quickly learning the ropes—just don’t be surprised if she gets a bit bouncy when excited. Patience goes a long way as she builds confidence and works out the last of her puppy energy. Poppy loves to play, especially with toys and other dogs. She does well reading cues from the dogs in her foster home. House training is going smoothly, and she’s crate trained both when her humans are away and overnight. Meeting people is one of her favorite things, and she gets along well with other dogs. Cats are still a mystery, but she’d probably do best in a home with older children due to her high energy. If you want a fun-loving, eager-to-learn hound who’s ready for a fresh start, Poppy is waiting. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
