Meet Teddy! This adorable little guy and his five siblings were just hours away from being put down. After being on the euthanasia list and receiving six extensions, we managed to save them just before the Fourth of July. Their amazing mom, Liberty, is a wonderful Cattle Dog mix, and, in honor of their second chance, each puppy was given a patriotic name. At just 4 weeks old, Teddy is a charming Australian Shepherd and Cattle Dog mix, ready to embark on new adventures. He’s still a tiny pup, but he’s growing stronger every day in foster care and will be ready to join his forever family in about 45 weeks after he receives his second set of puppy vaccinations. Right now, Teddy is discovering the joys of puppyhood: clumsy steps, playful tumbles with his siblings, and cozy naps after long days of exploration. He’s full of sweetness, curiosity, and affection, always wanting to be close to his people. Raised in foster care surrounded by love, warmth, and kindness, Teddy is learning what it truly means to be cherished. Being a young puppy, Teddy needs a family that’s prepared for the fun and challenges of raising a dog. Crate training, house training, leash walking, and socialization will all be part of his journey. With patience and positivity, he’s sure to grow into a fantastic lifelong companion.
