About Dolly Mae
Dolly Mae is a gentle young Australian Shepherd mix whose life has never been simple. She came to the shelter with her five tiny puppies after her former owners gave up on her, claiming they just had too many animals. Her pups were all adopted quickly, but Dolly Mae was left behind, exhausted and still longing for the little ones she had to say goodbye to much too soon. It's obvious that she's carried more than her share of worry—her body reflects a rough history, and her eyes sometimes give away her sadness. Now safe in a caring foster home, Dolly Mae is finally learning what it means to be nurtured. She's the most affectionate companion, always close by, hoping for hugs and a soft voice. She stands at about 26 pounds—petite for her breed and still gaining her strength. Dolly Mae deserves a place to rest and heal, whether that's with a foster family or someone ready to make her part of their home for good. There's no drama with her, just genuine sweetness and the soft hope that her next chapter will bring the comfort and stability she desperately needs. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
