Beryl, or Bea, is a large spayed female dog who identifies as a senior. Although her exact age is unknown, she's wonderfully spry and house trained. She currently resides in Nashville, TN, and is fully vaccinated. Bea has a unique personality and can live harmoniously with cats, though she prefers to be the only dog in the household. A gentle soul, she's looking for a patient adopter who understands her quirks.

About Beryl

Beryl, affectionately known as Bea, has been awaiting her forever home for more than a year. She originally came into rescue as a puppy in 2017 and was lovingly adopted by her foster mom. Unfortunately, after her mom's sudden passing, Bea has been patiently waiting in a foster home since March 2025. Although it takes her some time to warm up to new people, she's making significant progress and even bravely visited her foster mom's workplace recently. As a spunky senior girl, Bea might be set in her ways, and she thrives best as the only dog in the household. While she enjoys playing with dogs she meets on walks and around the neighborhood, she prefers her space when at home. Cats are another story; she can live alongside them as long as they mostly ignore her. Bea's not fond of car rides, and she can be a little quirky, requiring some medication and needing a gentle touch to settle into new routines. She may not be the most overtly affectionate dog, but her playful spirit and occasional bursts of energy make her a joy. If you're looking for a companion who's fine with her own space and prefers a more mellow lifestyle, Bea could be a great match for you. She has a clever knack for swiping snacks and can easily counter surf, so be careful with your treats! Currently residing in MI, she’s willing to travel for the right fit. Let’s find the perfect home for Bea! What are you waiting for? Apply today!
