Billy is one of twelve dogs rescued from a situation where their previous owners were facing eviction. Despite being well cared for, Billy needs help building confidence and social skills. This adorable 2-3 year-old Maltese mix weighs 13 pounds and has a sweet, playful demeanor. He thrives on interaction and gets along well with everyone he encounters, although he does have a tendency to bark when people pass by. Billy will need a quiet home without shared walls, as he barks at visitors initially, but quickly warms up and settles down. He’s not yet housebroken but does go outside to potty during the day and uses pee pads when his foster is at work. You'll need to have a consistent schedule for bathroom breaks. He enjoys the company of the resident dog and ignores the cats. While he hasn’t been around children, he could potentially live with respectful kids ages twelve and up. Billy requires a securely fenced yard for his safety, as he cannot walk on a leash yet and tends to flop down when leashed. He loves to sleep in bed with his person and enjoys playing with squeaky toys. Billy has been neutered, is up-to-date on vaccinations, and is microchipped.
