About Mabel
Mabel, at least ten years old, is a darling who was found wandering as a stray. She came to the shelter malnourished, and though she has limited vision and hearing, her spirit shines brightly. Mabel has a captivating, sweet demeanor and adores affection from everyone she meets. Despite her challenges, she embraces life with curiosity and enthusiasm. She enjoys leisurely walks and has a knack for sniffing out interesting scents. Mabel may not be much of a toy enthusiast, but she definitely loves her treats! Due to her limited senses, any resident pets should be calm and gentle. While Mabel has met other dogs before, she sometimes bumps into them without noticing, so a peaceful atmosphere is essential for her safety. While we haven't directly observed her with children, older kids who understand her needs may be a good fit. Mabel weighs about 52 pounds and is not currently spayed, but she will be adopted with a spay rider. Mabel is ready to fill a loving home with joy and unconditional love. You can find her waiting for you at Michiana Humane Society.
