About Isla
Meet Isla! Isla carries her story with her, marked by a few scars and an adorable crinkled ear. Abandoned twice, she still shows a remarkable love for everyone she meets, believing every person could be a new best friend. If cuddling were an Olympic sport, she would definitely take home the gold. Isla is a true couch potato, often spotted sprawled out in any sunny spot, preferably in a full sploot. Belly rubs are a must; if you stop too soon, she'll make sure you get the hint to keep going. Leisure walks are her jam, and while she has excellent leash manners, don't expect her to run a marathon. After about 15 minutes, she'll decide she's done and simply plop down until she's ready to continue. Isla enjoys splashing around with the hose, considers peanut butter-filled Kongs a delicacy, and gets along splendidly with other dogs and even cats. She is crate trained, house trained, knows "sit," and walks beautifully on a leash. Fireworks make her a bit nervous, and she has declared war on rabbits, enthusiastically patrolling her territory with amusing squeaks. Ideal for a family that enjoys a relaxed lifestyle, Isla would love to have another dog around her size, a comfy couch, and plenty of belly rubs. After being left behind too often, she's ready for the forever home she truly deserves. Isla was born on June 13, 2020, and she's prepared for her happily-ever-after. What are you waiting for?
