About Rita
Meet Rita! Born under the sign of Cancer (and true to her passionate spirit), Rita packs a ton of sass and heart into her compact frame. She joined the rescue at just three weeks old and quickly became the ringleader of her litter. Rita is all about fun—she lives for tug-of-war, sprints across the yard with endless energy, and can’t resist checking out anything new, including the nearest chickens. Despite her active nature, she knows how to wind down, happily curling up for a nap on a cozy bed or your lap before she’s ready to play again. Rita is both crate trained and house trained, and she’s friendly with other dogs, as well as people and kids. She’s still working on a few puppy manners—sometimes protesting a bit when picked up—but she learns quickly and responds well to love and patience. Rita is looking for an adopter who loves to play, explore, and truly embrace her spirited, intelligent personality. If you need a dog who promises as much laughter and excitement as cuddles, Rita is ready for her next adventure. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
