About Lone Star
Meet Lone Star! This big, handsome fella came to us as a stray in rough shape. Lone Star was clearly neglected before arriving here; he was emaciated, covered in fleas, and suffering from noticeable skin and ear infections. Despite his tough past, Lone Star remains a bright and cheerful boy eager for a fresh start. He has been friendly with other dogs at the shelter and was reported to do well with small dogs, cats, and young children in his finder’s home. However, we haven’t directly observed his interactions with cats or kids yet. Lone Star is still on the path to recovery as he adds weight and heals from prior neglect. If you have other pets, we'd suggest a meet-and-greet to ensure everyone gets along before bringing him home. If you’d like to meet this wonderful boy, please submit an adoption form through our website. Click apply to start the adoption process.
