About Riley
Riley’s life started rough on the streets of Harris County, TX, but she’s held onto hope and love through it all. Abandoned young, she bounced from the street to an overcrowded shelter, facing the heartache and noise that comes with life as just another number. When her heartworm diagnosis threatened to cut her second chance short, those who cared stepped in to provide her with treatment and a real shot at life—she’s heartworm free now and stronger for it. After two years waiting, Riley has kept her spirit gentle and loyal. Her fluffy peach-colored coat and striking blue eyes reflect both her strength and her sweetness. Riley is three years old, a large Husky and German Shepherd mix, and she’s as at home chasing toys in the backyard as she is lounging proudly on the couch. She’s kennel trained and never destructive indoors. Riley gets along well with other dogs and children, and her calm, affectionate nature makes her a real companion. She loves to be close, offering her paw with quiet trust, and brings both energy outdoors and mellow contentment inside. Riley’s done her waiting—she’s the kind of friend who wants to belong. With her determination, resilience, and kindness, she’s ready for someone to finally call her family. Give her the ending she’s been waiting for. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
