About Trixie

Meet Trixie! This sweet girl recently arrived in Colorado from New Mexico and is starting to enjoy her new life. Trixie is a 1-year-old spayed female weighing around 20 lbs and currently resides in Aurora, where she lives with three other dogs. While she’s learning the ropes, Trixie tends to be a bit shy and would thrive in a calm, patient home. Ideally, she’d do well with another small, friendly dog to help her gain confidence. She is nervous around new people, particularly when it comes to men putting leashes on her, so patient, dog-savvy adopters would be best. Loud noises and fast movements can frighten her, making a kid-free home a preferable choice. Trixie is potty trained, crate trained, and already knows commands like ‘sit’ and ‘down’. She sleeps quietly through the night and remains calm during the day while her foster mom works from home. She enjoys leisurely walks—she’s mastered leash manners and recently learned to run alongside a bike. Trixie is friendly and submissive, especially with women, and she loves grooming sessions. She’s ready for a loving home that understands her needs. Click apply to start the adoption process.
