About Hula

🌺 Meet Hula 🌺 At 14 years old, Hula isn’t seeking adventures—she just needs a soft bed and a loving hand to guide her through her golden years. Hula arrived at H.A.L.O. with two other dogs after their owner passed away. A close family friend made sure they could find loving homes in honor of their late owner. This sweet Japanese Chin is understandably a bit overwhelmed by shelter life. After spending nearly her entire life in a home, the new sounds and sights can be a lot. Right now, she’s quiet and a little shy, but we believe she will flourish in a peaceful environment where she can truly relax. Like many seniors, Hula has a few age-related quirks—her eyesight is a bit fuzzy, her hearing is selective, and she now enjoys a slower pace. Currently, Hula is available as a foster-to-adopt while we manage her kidney disease. She'll need a prescription diet and daily medication, plus we'll recheck her bloodwork in November to monitor her health. Once her kidney values stabilize, she'll get the dental care she requires, with all medical expenses covered by H.A.L.O. until she’s cleared for adoption. If you can provide Hula with a quiet home and a soft space to land, you'll be giving her the greatest gift: comfort and love in the twilight of her life. ❤️ Requirements include a martingale collar, kidney meds/diet, and a foster-to-adopt arrangement. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested, and microchipped before going to their new homes. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
