About Elmont
Meet Elmont! 🤍 If there were an Olympic event for napping, couch lounging, and convincing people to share a french fry, Elmont would bring home the gold every time. This 13-year-old Shih Tzu may be a senior, but don’t let that fool you. He still loves meeting new people, making dog friends, and heading out for a stroll—prepare for some enthusiasm on the leash! Also, keep an eye on him outdoors; he has a knack for wandering off in search of his next adventure. Elmont joined H.A.L.O. when his owner had to move overseas and couldn’t take him along. It’s clear he was well-loved, and now he’s looking for one last family to share his golden years. At home, you’ll find Elmont curled up beside his people, soaking up affection, and dreaming about snacks. Ice cream, chips, and french fries are high on his favorites list! He prefers calmer canine companions over rambunctious pups and feels safest during thunderstorms snuggled under a cozy blanket. Like any gentleman, he can be a bit protective of his prized treats and toys. While he doesn’t have bladder stones, Elmont needs to stay on a prescription urinary diet to prevent crystals. If you’re searching for a sweet, funny little sidekick who fills your home with love and the occasional snack request, Elmont is excited to meet you! Click apply to start the adoption process.
