About Thea

Thea is a sweet and easy-going 12-year-old Dachshund looking for a loving home where she can enjoy her golden years. She came to the rescue from a local shelter after her owner’s health declined. With a beautiful long red coat, Thea weighs about 24 pounds and has a very low energy level, making her the perfect companion for cozy days at home. She loves to cuddle and relax, whether it's in bed, on the couch, or outdoors on a covered patio. Short walks bring her joy, especially when she spots her leash, though they tend to be slow-paced due to some arthritis. While Thea is a bit timid, she has a friendly demeanor and has done well with the resident dog and children in her foster home. Thea is house trained and is steadily improving with potty training. Although she has some skin irritation that we are addressing, her sweet nature shines through. If you're searching for a calm companion to share your life with, Thea could be your perfect match. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
