Meet Olivia, a sweet 12-year-old Dachshund who recently experienced the loss of her beloved dad. This transition was difficult for her, leaving her withdrawn and hesitant. However, since joining her foster home, Olivia has started to reclaim her joy. Now, she eagerly explores her surroundings and grows more confident each day. Olivia loves being outside, especially when she knows her person is nearby. Though she is deaf, which may have been a recent development, this doesn't hinder her spirit. She responds beautifully to visual cues and seeks solace in your presence. Crate trained and housebroken, Olivia settles down easily when left alone and enjoys being a calm passenger on car rides. She walks gracefully on a leash and enjoys outings, such as a recent trip to Tractor Supply. While she gets along well with dogs of all sizes, she would prefer a quieter home without young children, as she can get startled. Olivia also has a few mammary tumors that will be addressed before her adoption, but this won’t slow her down. This charming girl deserves a loving companion to help her on her journey to a healthier weight and bring joy to her golden years.
