About Rex & Lexi
Rex and Lexi are enthusiastic 6-month-old mixed breed puppies searching for their forever homes. They weigh in at 15 lbs and 13 lbs, respectively, and likely won’t grow much larger. These affectionate and spunky pups are a little hesitant initially but warm up quickly, showering you with kisses once they feel at ease. With a possible hint of chihuahua in them, they might shake during introductions to new faces or places, but it’s short-lived. You’ll often catch them racing around the fenced backyard, followed by a well-deserved nap inside. They get along wonderfully with other dogs and even enjoy the company of their resident cat, who is often found sunbathing nearby while the pups frolic. Rex and Lexi adore children and thrived with several little ones during their last adoption event, happily welcoming more laps to snuggle into without any nippiness. They’re making progress on house training and are used to being transported in a crate, though they have their own space in their foster home. A family that’s patient and dedicated to their training—continuing housebreaking, crate training, and overall socialization—is ideal. Both pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. While they can be adopted together or separately, their foster mom thinks keeping them together might make the transition smoother for them, as they share everything.
