About Nova
Meet Nova, a shining example of how one "yes" can change everything. This beautiful girl almost missed her shot at a fulfilling life while at a rural animal control facility, where many dogs face heartbreaking fates. Thankfully, a dedicated group of volunteers recognized her potential and made sure she got the chance she deserves. Nova's journey has been remarkable, traveling over 400 miles and changing hands four times as volunteers worked tirelessly to bring her to the Serendipity pack. Through it all, she remained the perfect companion, riding well in the car and greeting everyone with a wagging tail and abundant kisses. At 2.5 years old, Nova is a lovely sable-coated German Shepherd weighing about 75 pounds. Her joyful, outgoing personality is infectious—she assumes every stranger is just a friend she hasn't met yet. While she loves everyone, including children, her size and exuberance make her a better fit for families with older kids or those who are comfortable with larger, playful dogs. Like many shepherds, Nova has a confident nature and may do well with an easygoing dog. However, she’s more than ready to be the solo star of your home. She's not been tested with cats but has shown affection and resilience throughout her journey. Nova meets every day with optimism and excitement, still believing in the goodness of people. After 400 miles in search of her forever home, could that home be yours?
