Skylar is a German Shepherd and Husky mix who recently arrived from a shelter in Illinois along with several other dogs after their owner could no longer look after them. She’s estimated to be between 2 and 3 years old and has a classic medium-length coat. Skylar tends to be a bit timid when meeting new people, but once she opens up, she quickly becomes a loyal companion. She's reportedly good with other dogs, though she hasn't yet met cats in her foster care. Given her initial caution around strangers, Skylar would do best in a home where children are older and familiar with dogs. Busy, unpredictable environments—like those with boisterous toddlers—might overwhelm her as she adjusts. She’s up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and will be spayed prior to adoption.
