About Daisy

Meet Daisy, an energetic 15-month-old black and tan female Doberman. With natural ears and a docked tail, she weighs in at 73 pounds. Although she was a bit unsure during her first day, it didn't take long for her to adapt and claim her new home. Daisy has had some formal training and knows commands like sit, down, come, and let’s go. While she sometimes resists following commands, she's learning more, including working on 'leave it.' Daisy isn't a fan of car rides, but she behaves well during them, alternating between looking around and lying down. She loves taking walks and enjoys sniffing everything. However, be mindful: she tends to pick up and eat random things, so keep an eye on her explorations. In a fenced backyard, she'll often chase after squirrels and birds due to her strong prey drive. Daisy loves playing fetch with squeaky tennis balls or a jolly ball. A fenced yard would be a great addition to her new home. Already house and crate trained, Daisy sleeps most of the time while her family is away, but she gets thrilled when they return. She might jump excitedly, and they’re working on expecting a calmer greeting. Watch her around items like flip-flops and soft toys, as she occasionally picks up things that don't belong to her, and she has a favorite blanket she likes to suck on. Daisy is a joyful, smart, and affectionate girl who has settled well into her foster home in Virginia. As a typical velcro Doberman, she wants to follow you everywhere and loves to curl up beside you while watching TV. With patience and consistent training, Daisy will become a fantastic family member. She’s eager to find her forever home and is ready for adoption. DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA.
