About Ned
Meet Ned, a sweet Australian Cattle Dog mix who’s about 14 weeks old and currently weighs 20 pounds. He has a gentle demeanor and a medium energy level, which is pretty laid-back for a cattle dog. Although Ned is a bit shy at first, he warms up quickly to new friends. His temperament is fantastic; he enjoys being handled, and there are no resource guarding issues. His potty training is progressing well, and he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate, waking up early to signal when he needs to go out. While he’s still mastering leash walking and the recall command, he’s working hard on his skills. Ned has a playful spirit, relishing frisbee time—even if he can't quite catch it yet, he’s starting to learn how to return it. He enjoys playing with his 8-pound Papillon buddy under careful supervision as he’s still learning appropriate play. He hasn’t been tested with young children or cats yet. Ned would thrive either as a solo dog in a loving family or with another canine companion. He was found as a stray in Georgia along with his mom and siblings. He’s up to date on immunizations, has been neutered, and is on flea, tick, and heartworm preventative. He is currently being fostered in southern Maryland. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
