About Callie
Meet Callie, a lively young dog around 2 years old and weighing between 40-45 lbs. She's excellent with kids and gets along well with her fellow canines, though she’s a bit excitable. Callie is house trained and crate trained, with a medium-high energy level typical for her breed. Despite her spirited nature, she knows how to relax. She's eager to learn and enjoys training sessions, making strides in loose leash walking and other foundational skills. Due to her adventurous spirit, a fenced yard is highly recommended to keep her safe. While Callie would thrive as an only dog, she can benefit from a well-trained canine companion who can set a good example. She does well with children but might be better suited to homes with older kids because of her occasional exuberance. Callie shows affection through gentle treats and playful belly rubs, but watch out for her prey drive around smaller animals. Her future family should be ready to provide structure and continue her training journey. Currently, she's on monthly preventatives and will be spayed on June 16, becoming available for meetings after recovery. Interested adopters should connect with her foster home before making arrangements. Ready to meet Callie? This could be the start of something wonderful!
