About Rumi D
Rumi D is a charming 1-year-old German Shepherd with a bright mind and a heart full of loyalty. She embodies the classic shepherd personality, always eager to learn and engage with her family. Rumi has found a special bond with her foster mom, following her around and wanting to be involved in all activities. In her foster home, Rumi gets along beautifully with children aged 7 to 11 and has a friendly demeanor with the other dogs. She enjoys her toys and carries them proudly, though she sometimes picks up shoes or socks without chewing them. Although she likes to explore with her mouth like many shepherds, she is learning to curb her jumping and mouthing tendencies with some guidance. Rumi is also respectful of the cats in her foster family. While she may play a bit too rough at times, she quickly responds to corrections. She’s shown interest in other animals, including chickens and ducks, but follows commands well when told to leave them alone. Currently, she is supervised outside and prefers to be on a lead. She adjusts well in her kennel when her family is away, and she's a champion sleeper whether in her kennel or snuggled up close to her foster mom. Rumi has had minimal accidents in the house and demonstrates her potential as a loving companion for a family that appreciates the shepherd breed. With continued training and structure, she will flourish in a forever home that understands her needs. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
