Maverick is a smaller shepherd mix, just over a year old, with quick feet and a gentle soul. Once his personality starts to shine, it’s clear—he’s still very much a puppy, both in learning and in play, but always sweet and kind hearted. We do not adopt our dogs to folks who live in apartments. He can be a little scared and nervous when you first meet him, but once you earn his trust, Maverick turns into your little shadow. He thinks he’s a lap dog, follows you everywhere, and loves to curl up beside your feet. Maverick would thrive in a quieter home where someone is home most of the day. He would do best without young children—fast movements make him anxious—but a home with teenagers would be just fine. He truly blossoms with the right canine companion. We would like this dog to be adopted into a secure 5'-6' fenced yard. We do not allow our dogs to be tied, tethered, chained or secured on a tie out for any of our dogs. We do not allow our shepherds to go into homes with an underground electronic fence system.
