About Winlock
Winlock is a gentle senior dog with a heartwarming story. After enduring neglect in his former home in California, he was rescued from a situation where ten dogs lived with an elderly owner unable to care for them. Although he once weighed 108 pounds, he has already made noticeable progress, now down to 95 pounds. His ideal weight is around 80 pounds, and with careful portion control, he's on the right path. At approximately 10 years old, Winlock is a lovely mix of Poodle and Irish Wolfhound. With his long, fluffy fur currently shaved due to matting, he has big, expressive brown eyes that invite affection. He is friendly to all people and gets along well with both large and small dogs, as well as the cats in his foster home. Winlock enjoys relaxing in a peaceful environment and is happy to take leisurely strolls around the neighborhood. He’s potty trained and has never had an accident in his foster home. He adapts well to being left alone and is not destructive when unsupervised. To best support his joints, he would thrive in a home without steep stairs and may need assistance getting into vehicles. Neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations, Winlock is ready for his forever home. His adoption fee of $200 includes a wellness exam at one of our partner vet clinics.
