About Gemma

Gemma is ready for her forever home after being a devoted mother to her litter of 11 puppies. Rescued as a stray in California just before giving birth, she adapted well to life in a foster home filled with other dogs, both large and small. Now at approximately 3 years old and weighing around 76 pounds, Gemma is eager to find a loving family she can call her own. She gets along well with other dogs, although for her playfulness, she’s best suited for homes with dogs 15 pounds and up. While Gemma hasn't lived with children, she’s likely to be fine with older kids, around 8 years and up. Unfortunately, she does not get along with cats, and her prey drive suggests a home without small animals would be ideal. Gemma enjoys a balanced lifestyle; she can be a relaxed couch buddy or an active outdoor companion. She is crate trained and has great potty habits, plus no leash reactivity has been noted. Her playful nature shines through when she’s engaging with toys — a heavy chewer who needs sturdy options. Gemma is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to bring joy to her new family. Currently fostered in Oregon City, OR, you're welcome to meet her before adopting. This lovely girl is looking forward to snuggling on the couch and soaking up the love she deserves.
