About April
April came to us as a stray in California, tired and thirsty, but she quickly revealed her true nature. This affectionate little dog embodies the spirit of a Chihuahua with her deep bond to her person, seeking closeness and snuggles. At 11 pounds and around 2 years old, April likely has some Chihuahua mixing her in. She would thrive best as the sole pet in her new home, receiving all the love and attention. Although she has lived with numerous other dogs, she can be somewhat jealous when it comes to sharing her person. With the right boundaries set, she can still enjoy playing with others, but would prefer to be the only apple of your eye. We haven't tested April with cats yet, but we're working on that. If there are kids, she’s better suited for those aged 10 and up, as her enthusiastic affection might overwhelm younger ones. April is learning her potty routine, but being her first week in foster care, there might be some accidents. She does well on a leash and is ready to join you on adventures. April is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, and current on preventatives. The adoption fee includes a complimentary wellness exam at one of our veterinary partners in the area. Ready to meet her? What are you waiting for? Apply today!
