Koa is currently heartworm positive and undergoing treatment through Beauties & Beasts Rescue. Once adopted, his new family must continue the prescribed treatment plan and follow all medical guidelines. The rescue will cover the cost of the treatment as long as it is completed according to the vet's recommendations. Abandoned outside without food or water, Koa and his siblings were rescued and brought into safe care. While in boarding, heโs learning that people can be kind and trustworthy. Koa is a striking German Shepherd who is still building his confidence and working on his social skills. A patient adopter will help him realize that trust takes time. He requires a home with another confident and friendly dog to continue feeling secure. Koa is not quite ready for adoption yet. His ideal foster home will allow him to build trust and confidence safely. With love, patience, and consistency, Koa has the potential to become a loyal and loving companion. He is currently boarding at the Haysville Building and can be met during public hours from Wednesday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
