Berry is a delightful 2-year-old Chihuahua mix with a charming personality. Weighing in at just 10 pounds, she has a short coat in a lovely tan color. Berry's journey has been quite the tale; she was adopted from a rural shelter in New Mexico, where she unexpectedly became a mother and later found herself relinquished to rescue. Despite the challenges she faced while caring for her puppies, Berry has been an excellent mom and now eagerly awaits her own forever home. Now that her puppies are weaned, Berry is ready to embrace a life of being a cherished pet. Though initially shy, she is settling in nicely with her foster family and shows no signs of aggression—just a gentle soul craving affection and security. Berry thrives in a nurturing environment where she can decompress and receive the love she deserves. This sweet girl needs a family who understands the importance of consistent stimulation, exercise, and training, as it will help her build confidence. Berry gets along well with other dogs and would benefit from positive reinforcement training to reinforce good behaviors. She is fully vetted, vaccinated, and will be spayed prior to adoption. This is a chance to welcome a loving companion into your life. Berry is waiting for her special someone. Click apply to start the adoption process.
