About Benny
Meet Benny! This charming little guy is a 3-year-old, 11 lb Chihuahua and Jack Russell Terrier mix, who is all about being your cuddly companion. Benny began his journey in Carlsbad, New Mexico, where he was discovered as a stray. Initially overwhelmed by the chaotic shelter atmosphere, he hid his sweet nature. Now that he’s settled into a foster home in Colorado, his charming personality is blossoming. His foster says it took Benny about a week to shake off his shyness, but now he’s thriving. He eagerly enjoys meals and has become snuggle-savvy. Benny loves walks and playing outside, so a home with a yard, preferably with an active adopter who enjoys hiking, would be ideal for him. Benny is a quick friend to those who offer him treats, and he warmly greets newcomers without barking. He’s fully potty trained, managing well when left free in the house, and he spends his time lounging peacefully. Although he has playful moments, his mellow side shines brighter. Benny would be happiest with someone retired or working from home to ensure he gets the attention and routine he craves. Positive reinforcement training will help Benny further build his confidence and behavior, and it’s a requirement for his adoption. This sweet boy is up to date on vaccinations, healthy, neutered, and ready for his forever home. If you’d like to share your life with this lovely companion, apply to adopt.
