Velveta is a complete sweetheart who will melt your heart with her big, expressive eyes and always wagging tail. At 7 years old, she may be considered a senior, but she's still spunky and the ideal companion. She adores everyone she meets, even the mailman, and is calm, gentle, and patient with people of all ages—including children 6 years and up and even older adults. While she hasn’t yet been around younger kids, she’s shown no signs of stress around those using canes or walkers. This lovely lady is crate-trained and settles in easily for a good night's sleep. She knows the command "sit" and responds well to corrections. Velveta enjoys being inside or outside, making her a versatile addition to any home. On walks, her tail doesn’t stop wagging when she meets neighbors. However, she’s not as welcoming to other dogs, using her voice to express her feelings. For this reason, she would thrive best as the only dog in a household or with another dog that is neutral and won’t react to her.
