About Joy in IA
Joy in IA is a sweet 7-year-old Boston Terrier currently being fostered in Des Moines, Iowa. She weighs 17 pounds and has a beautiful black and white coat. Having spent her life in a breeder's care, many normal experiences are still new to her, but she’s slowly discovering the joys of being a dog. Cozy blankets, soft beds, and curling up on the couch bring her comfort as she acclimates to her surroundings. Joy enjoys the company of other dogs and lives happily with three canine friends, helping her gain confidence. She does best with a gentle, understanding family, ideally one where someone is home often to reassure her as she grows braver. Joy is crate trained and does well when her family is out, but she loves to snuggle up in bed for a peaceful night’s sleep. While she is now familiar with the backyard and making strides in her house training, she would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, as she’s not ready for walks just yet. Joy is still learning to trust strangers, so patience and gentle encouragement are essential. This lovely girl is spayed, vaccinated, and ready for a loving family to embrace her on her journey. If you're looking for a gentle companion who will reward your kindness with loyalty and love, Joy may be the perfect fit for you. Start your journey together! Apply now.
