I need a new home because I was released from a breeder and am now ready to start my next chapter in a loving, patient home. I am being fostered in Kansas City, Missouri. I’m a gentle, quiet girl who is learning how to enjoy life. I can be a little shy at first and prefer to come to you on my own terms rather than being approached right away—but once I do, I absolutely love being pet (especially under my chin!). I’ve also been around older children in my foster home and do well with them, enjoying the extra attention they give me. I get along well with my foster family’s dogs—a mini dachshund and a chihuahua mix—which has helped me build confidence and trust in my new surroundings. I love spending time outside in a fenced yard, lounging in the sunshine, and taking cozy naps on the patio. I’m still learning some basics but making progress at my own pace. I’ve been doing great with house manners and have not had any accidents in my foster home. All our dogs are spayed/neutered (if six months and older), up to date on rabies and distemper, heartworm tested, and microchipped. Other medical needs diagnosed while in foster care are also treated prior to adoption. MABTR requires a fenced in area from families who own their home, however we DO adopt to apartment complexes and communities where fences are not permitted due to leases and covenants. In these cases a leash law must be enforced. We do not accept invisible fencing. MABTR only adopts to families residing in NE, CO, MO, KS, IA, WY, SD, ND, ID, UT, MT, MN, and NW AR due to the lack of volunteer support in other states, no exception even if you are willing to drive.
