About Parker
Meet Parker, a special dog in search of a nurturing foster or forever home. For over 2.5 years, he's faced instability and uncertainty, spending more than a year in a rural shelter before joining us in January 2025. Since then, he's been moved from foster homes to kennels, never having the chance to settle down. Despite this, Parker has maintained his belief in people and their kindness. This young, 60-pound mix of Pit Bull, Cattle Dog, and Great Pyrenees possesses the spirit and intelligence of a working dog. He thrives on structure, guidance, and strong connections with his humans. While Parker has undergone professional training and made significant strides, he needs a calm environment to truly flourish. Busy neighborhoods with excessive stimulation can overwhelm him. The perfect home for Parker would be a quiet rural property or farm, with an experienced handler familiar with working breeds. A household with older teens or adults is ideal. No cats, please, and while he might coexist with another dog, it would need to be the right match. Parker would excel as a farm companion, hiking partner, or a devoted best friend. Parker deserves peace and stability, and in return, he will offer unwavering loyalty. His adoption fee has been generously waived, and he is already neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. If you think you can provide the right environment for this wonderful dog, click apply to start the adoption process.
