About Charlie In Va

Charlie is an adorable Pocket Pyr mix and he’s ready to find his furever family! He was found as a stray in Virginia, and is now in a loving foster home. He's been settling in and showing his true colors ever since - and what a sweet boy he is! Charlie walks well on leash and is working on mastering basic commands and polishing his house manners, so he'll thrive with a patient family who enjoys the rewarding journey of helping a dog grow and learn. When it comes to activity, Charlie is a happy medium-energy guy. He loves having fun with his squeaky stuffed toys and is a big fan of a good hard chewie to gnaw on. He will do best with a securely fenced yard of at least 5 feet, or as a leash-walk-only dog. Charlie has shown he gets along beautifully with other dogs - he currently shares his foster home with a female husky and the two of them love to play together! While he could be happy as an only dog, he would really blossom with a canine companion by his side. Charlie is a bit of a sensitive soul, and can be nervous on walks when around loud noises, unfamiliar people, and other dogs. He's perfectly happy with older kids and teenagers, but a calmer home would help him feel safe and confident. He's a little unsure about car rides at first, but once you get rolling, he settles right in like a pro! At the end of the day, Charlie just wants to be your cozy companion. He loves nothing more than snuggling up close and being playful and silly with the people he loves. With a little patience, some peanut butter treats, and a calm and loving home, this sweet, snuggly boy is going to make one lucky family incredibly happy. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
