About Samuel
Meet Samuel! This young lad arrived at our rescue from the Mahoning County Dog Pound as a stray. While we can't definitively say he's 100% Labrador Retriever, he certainly looks and behaves like one. At 10 months old and weighing in at 73 pounds, Samuel exudes all the typical traits of a lab - he’s full of joy and a bit of goofiness. Samuel is eager to find a loving family that can help guide him through his journey to adulthood. Labs are like perpetual puppies until about three years old, and Samuel embraces that spirit wholeheartedly. He loves attention, gets along well with people, and has a positive outlook on life that’s simply infectious. He knows how to sit and is working on his leash manners — a fenced yard would be ideal for him to romp around in, but consistent walks would also satisfy his playful nature. Though he may be best with older kids due to his size and clumsy enthusiasm, Samuel would most likely fit well into a family setting. He appears friendly with other dogs but would thrive with a playful companion that can keep up with his youthful energy. Overall, he's a sweet, bouncing, healthy pup who's simply in need of structure and training to flourish. This lovable boy has a unique charm that can brighten anyone’s day. He should be ready for adoption in about 7-10 days, so feel free to submit your application before then!
